According to PSDP 2017-18 development projects, Federal government has allocated Rs. 38 billion for constructing Hakla (M-1) to Yark, Dera Ismail Khan motorway, a part of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project. China Pakistan Economic Corridor (China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)) western route has a separate budget of Rs. 129 billion which is scheduled to be completed by October 2018.



The 285 kilometers long motorway has to be constructed in five different phases, work on all five phases is started simultaneously, according to ministry of planning.
Under Federal PSDP total allocation of Rs. 110.21 billion started spending and Rs. 12 billion have already spent on the project. Another China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project of 106 kilometers long Basima-#Khuzdar Highway (N-30) got the budget of Rs. 15 billion.
Another Rs. 15 billion has been allocated for expanding the Jaglot-Skardu Road (S-1) which is 167 kilometers long. To construct this road Rs. 7 billion has been allocated for the year 2017-18.
Government has also estimated the total of Rs. 21.25 billion for the construction of 118 kilometers long Thahkot to Havelian Road (Phase-1). The amount allocated for land acquisition and expansion of the road is Rs. 8.1 billion.



For some new schemes under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), government has also allocated Rs. 200 million for constructing Gilgit-Shandoor-Chitral-Chakdara road, however, for Mirpur-Mangla-Muzaffarabad-Mansehra Road, Rs. 200 million has been granted so far, for the year 2017-18
