Allow two Korean and a Chinese company to manufacture vehicles in Pakistan

جن تین کمپنیوں کو اجازت دی گئی ہے ان میں دو جنوبی کورین اور ایک چینی کمپنی شامل ہے جو پاکستانی کمپنیوں کے ساتھ مل کر پاکستان میں تقریباً 37 کروڑ 20 لاکھ ڈالر تک کی سرمایہ کاری کریں گی۔
وزارت صنعت کے سیکریٹری خضر حیات گوندل نے اس بات کی تصدیق کی کہ وزارت صنعت و پیداوار نے یونائیٹڈ موٹرز پرائیوٹ لمیٹڈ، کیا لکی موٹرز پاکستان لمیٹڈ اور نشاط گروپ کو گرین فیلڈ انویسٹمنٹ کیٹیگری کے تحت پاکستان میں اسمبلنگ اور مینوفیکچرنگ یونٹس لگانے کی اجازت دی ہے۔ انہوں نے بتایا کہ ان کمپنیوں میں سے سب سے زیادہ سرمایہ کاری (19 کروڑ ڈالر) کیا لکی کی جانب سے کی جائے گی جبکہ یونائیٹڈ موٹرز کی جانب سے 18 کروڑ 10 لاکھ اور نشاط گروپ کی جانب سے 16 کروڑ 40 لاکھ ڈالرز پاکستان میں خرچ کیے جائیں گے۔
خضر حیات گوندل نے بتایا کہ مجموعی طور پر 9 کمپنیوں نے پاکستان میں اپنے پلانٹس لگانے کی اجازت مانگی تھی جن میں سے پہلے مرحلے میں تین کمپنیوں کو اجازت دی گئی ہے جب کہ باقی کمپنیوں کی درخواستوں پر کام جاری ہے۔
ان تینوں کمپنیوں کی جانب سے جمع کرائے جانے والے دستاویز کے مطابق یونائیٹڈ موٹرز چینی کمپنی کی شراکت سے پاکستان میں پلانٹ لگائے گی جب کہ نشاط گروپ جنوبی کورین کمپنی ہونڈائی اور لکی سیمنٹ بھی جنوبی کورین کمپنی KIA موٹرز کی شراکت سے پلانٹس لگائیں گے۔
خیال رہے کہ فی الحال پاکستان میں گاڑیاں بنانے کی صنعت میں تین بڑی جاپانی کمپنیوں کی اجارہ داری ہے جن میں سوزوکی، ٹویوٹا اور ہونڈا شامل ہیں۔ جنوبی کورین کمپنی کی جانب سے پاکستان میں پیداواری یونٹس لگانے سے ان کمپنیوں کی اجارہ داری ختم ہوسکے گی جب کہ مسابقت بڑھنے سے پاکستانی شہریوں کو مناسب قیمت پر اچھی گاڑیاں دستیاب ہوسکیں گی۔
