Pakistan's have a largest 911 km, 661 Kilo Volt (KV) Matiari Lahore High Voltage direct current Transmission Line to be laid in 28 months under China Pakistan Economic Corridors (CPEC) costing $1.77 Billion Dollars (Estimate) (CPEC)
KARACHI, Sindh Pakistan (CPEC): China Electric Power Equipment and Technology (CET), a subsidiary of State Grid Corp of China, will participate in the largest High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission line project along the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The 911 Kilo Meter (KM), 660 Kilo Volt Matiari Lahore High Voltage Direct Current HVDC transmission line, which will be built on the Chinese engineering, Chinese procurement and Chinese construction (EPC) contract basis, also includes two converter stations.
“Chinese engineering, Chinese procurement and Chinese construction
(EPC) EPC contracts are common in the construction industry,” reports China Pakistan Economic Corridors (CPEC) Media Story.
The transmission line wil bel start from a converter station in Matiari near Hyderabad Sindh Pakistan and end at Nankana Sahab which located in Lahore Province Punjab Pakistan.
The contract is worth over atleast $1.77 billion Dollars and work on the project will take 28 months, according to China Electric Power Equipment and Technology (CET) . “If that project Will be once completed,That China Pakistan Economic Corridors (CPEC) project will help transmit 4,001 Mega Watts (MG) of electricity per year ,” said Zheng Baihua, China Electric Power Equipment and Technology (CET) Chinese Deputy Manager in General.
