The government has allowed Hub Power Company (Hub-co) to press ahead with its original plan of setting up two power plants of 660-megawatt each (total 1,320 megawatts) on imported coal China Pakistan Economic Corridors (CPEC)   (Cpec Publisher).
“The Private Power and Infrastructure Board has now called a meeting to discuss the extension in financial close and the signing of Implementation Agreement for 2x660MW imported coal-based power plants at Hub (Balochistan),” Shamsul Islam, Hubco Secretary, said to media and beirfly  in a notification to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Friday China Pakistan Economic Corridors (CPEC).
A high official of the company said to the China Pakistan Economic Corridors (CPEC) media cell    (Cpec Publisher) that Hubco was expected to arrange financing for the new power project by June 2017 China Pakistan Economic Corridors (CPEC).
Total cost of the project is estimated at $1.8 billion, according to an earlier communiqué. He said one of the power plants would start commercial production by 3 December 2018 while the second plant would come online by August 2019 China Pakistan Economic Corridors (CPEC)   (Cpec Publisher).
Hubco’s share price astimate is  4.03% in a bull run on the PSX on Friday. It gained and raised Rs 4.75 and closed at Rs122.63 with volume of 2.7 million shares   (Cpec Publisher).
In October, the government had placed restrictions, allowing the company to set up only one plant. The move came in the wake of government’s policy to not approve more power plants based on imported coal after 14, October 2016   (Cpec Publisher).
However, companies that had met financial close before that date and/or were part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects were exempted from the restriction China Pakistan Economic Corridors (CPEC)

Pakistan water security made part of China Pakistan Economic Corridors (CPEC) Project
Pakistan and China decided to make water security a part of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) framework amid threats by India to review its position on the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty.

Project Number 2: Indian Media advises Government to join China Pakistan Economic Corridors (CPEC) 
After Lt Gen Aamir Riaz, Commander Southern Command, suggested the  India government to shun enmity and join the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) a few weeks ago, the Indian Media advised its government to become a part of the China Pakistan Economic Corridors (CPEC) project rather than oppose it (CPEC News Report).
A Chinese Foreign Ministry official recently said (CPEC Media) that the CPEC is an "open initiative" of its One Belt One Road project, but it would consider the possibility of other countries joining it through consensus with Pakistan. The China Pakistan Economic Corridors (CPEC) News also saw it that way and advised its government to become a part of the initiative which was commenced in since 2015 year by Pakistan and China Friendship Project.
For one of More popular India Media Report, the Indian media has highlighted the role of China as a global power and its efforts in redrawing the whole One Belt One Road initiative of China along Central Asia, just to incorporate Pakistan and China Pakistan Economic Corridors (CPEC) interests.
India has been unsuccessful in pinning Pakistan down as far as terrorism is concerned, with China blocking India's efforts time and again to accuse Pakistan of extending support to terrorist groups (Cpec Publisher).
Also, it was China which thwarted India's efforts to become a member of the Nuclear Suppliers Group. According to The Hindu Media History, not only China but another important player in the region, Iran has expressed the desire for Gwadar Port to be a 'sister port' to Chabahar Port In Iran. Not only that, several Central  Asian states such as Turkmenistan and others want to see Gwadar Port developed Projects as an important port through which goods can move through Pakistan to the Chinese city of Kashgar as well.
Noting the importance of the meeting in Moscow among Russian, Chinese and Pakistani officials on Afghanistan thisMonth, the editorial commented this ‘indicate much more is changing in the region than just the alignment of highways and tunnels’ (CPEC Source Report ). "India cannot afford to be blindsided by their involvement with the OBOR project and Chinese plans. China Pakistan Economic Corridors (CPEC)  is no longer a project in Pakistan, but one that runs through it, a project that will link 65 countries," Reads the editorial of The (Cpec Publisher).

So far, the Indian government has not responded to the offer extended by the Pakistani General Lt Gen Aamir Riaz but the case made by its media is a stellar one. Quoting the editorial, " China Pakistan Economic Corridors (CPEC) is no longer a project in Pakistan, but one that runs through it, a project that will link 65 countries." CPEC News Publishers .
