A Chinese investment group sent a nine member-delegation



A Chinese investment group sent a nine member-delegation to the port city of Gwadar. The committee were briefed by the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) administration on development schemes underway in collaboration with China-Pak Economic Corridor (GWADAR CIHNA PAKISTAN ECONOMIC CORRIDORS ) projects.
The  China  delegation led by Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat Chairman, Senator Talha Mehmood, visited the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) office, whereby Gross Development Authority  Director Administration, Maj. Saleem Mehmood Baloch, guided them on underway projects in collaboration with GWADAR CIHNA PAKISTAN ECONOMIC CORIDORS . He assured the team that the pace of construction work on projects pertaining to GWADAR CIHNA PAKISTAN ECONOMIC CORRIDORS  had been accelerated.
The delegation also visited Gwadar Development Public High School and Gwadar Development Hospital where Lt-Col. Siddique briefed them on joint adventures of Pak Army and Ministries of Health and Education being taken in education and health sectors.

Speaking on the occasion, Senator Mehmood said that GWADAR CIHNA PAKISTAN ECONOMIC CORIDORS  would strengthen its historical friendship of Pakistan and China and hoped for future prospects of boosting economic growth and development in the Balochistan Pakistan region.

China fund 4,001 Mega Watt (MW) Electric power transmission line in Pakistan
State Grid of China will help build a 4,001 Mega Watt (MW) power transmission line in Pakistan in a project valued at $1.6 Billion, Government said on Thursday (CPEC Media).
The high capacity transmission line will be the first of its kind in Pakistan and will link Maître, a town in Sindh near a new Electric power station, to province Punjab Lahore, a key link in transmission infrastructure, the federal government said to (CPEC media).
An agreement on the project was signed on Friday at China Capital State Beijing between Mohammad Younus Dagha, secretary of water and power, and Shu Yinbiao, Chairman of State Grid Corporation of China, the government said to CPEC Media Cell.
Construction will begin in  Phase January 2017, and should take about 21 months, said a spokesman for the Prime Minister Of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Office.
Pakistan has been plagued by a shortage of electricity for years, with widespread rolling blackouts in both rural and urban areas in Paksitan.
The government has managed to reduce load shedding scheduled power outages in some areas, but production gaps and distribution woes remain.
The project is the latest in a series of big Chinese investments, most of which fall under a planned $56 billion worth of projects for the China Pakistan Economic Corridor  China Pakistan Economic Corridors (CPEC) project.
The China Pakistan Economic Corridors (CPEC) is a combination of power and infrastructure projects that link western China to Pakistan's southern port of Gwadar Port.
Other Chinese investment in Pakistan has included the acquisition of a majority stake by Shanghai Electric of the Karachi Electric (KE) power production and distribution company for $1.9 billion.

Last week, a Chinese-led consortium bought a 41 per cent stake of the Pakistan Stock Exchange for an estimated $86 million Dollars  (CPEC) Media Cell.

ECNEC approved the proposal of the Government of Baluchistan Pakistan to change the executing agency for the Construction/ up-gradation of  Town Dirgi Shabozai (N-70) to Town Taunsa Sharif (N-55) Road (176km) project from Baluchistan Development Authority to Communications and Works Department, Government of Baluchistan (CPEC Newss).

The project has already been approved by ECNEC on 13 September 2013 at the total cost of  Cost of Rs. 4895.980 million Rupees. The
China Pakistan Economic Corridors (CPEC) project envisages the construction Phase up gradation of 6.2 Miles (m) wide and 156 Kilo Meter (KM) long road besides widening of 21 Kilo Meter (KM) long section from 3.65 m width and allied facilities between Town Dirgi Shabozai on N-70 leading to Town Taunsa Sharif on N-55 with the cost being shared by the Federal and provincial governments in 61 : 41 ratios.
